Milk Oolong Tea

(rating: 4.3 out of 5)

Milk Oolong Tea produced a light yellowish liquid with milky sweet aroma and smooth and sweet lingering taste. Milk Oolong Tea is a very special hand processed tea from Taiwan. Milk Oolong Tea is produced from tea leaves at certain time, temperature, altitude, soil conditions to get the milky silky texture. Our Milk Oolong Tea is naturally processed and not scented.

Brewing Guide:
We recommend using purple clay or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Fill the teapot 2 grams (1-2 teaspoons) tea leaves for every 225ml of water. This one is very nice. There are times that I crave that super smooth mouth feel, and this definitely satisfies that. It has a very ethereal quality that you feel more than taste. The taste is very smooth, sweet, buttery, and very light. The aroma is the most noticeable, much like buttermilk (heavy on the butter). This tea would be excellent to drink with shellfish, especially lobster! I tend to like the more floral oolongs, but this is still a very satisfying tea, and one I will keep in stock and drink regularly.

one of my favorite oolong, really impresive milky taste and aroma

Sergio (9/3/2007)

This tea has a strong milk buttery fragrance. If you like milky buttery tea this is the one.

Im an oolong drinker and this one is one of my favorites. The taste is milky and smooth. It is also slightly malty, as is the aroma. I usually steep 3-5 minutes so the leaves can fully unfurl.

Excellent flavor. Taste is smooth, light, and certainly has "milky" qualities. Very enjoyable tea.

Jeremy (3/5/2008)

Whats not to love about milk oolong tea? It smells buttery and sweet--candy sweet, not grassy-sweet--and brews a lovely light golden color. If brewed for the recommended steep time, the tea actually tastes like the slightest of sweenters has been added-- but it naturally comes that way. The tea seems to only be able to withstand two steepings, though others may be able to get out three steepings. Its a special tea and smells and tastes divine. Its my absolute favourite tea--thanks TeaCuppa for offering it!

Leslie (3/15/2008)

Milky, almost buttery, taste and aroma. Very smooth. This has become my favorite tea. Steep it 4-5 minutes until the leaves fully unfurl.

very good green oolong, one of my favorites. the milky buttery taste y very strong. an excellent tea taste experience to any green oolong drinker

Sergio (5/19/2008)

Creamy oolong tea, highly recommend!!

kathleen (6/19/2008)

A surprisingly good tea

Jesse (7/9/2008)

This tea has became my everyday tea :D

Jesse (7/9/2008)

This is a very delicate oolong. Not the bold overpowering flavour of butter and milk that you might find in other milk oolongs. Its subtle buttery notes are just present and when examining the leaves after steeping, its obvious that this is a high quality teaharvested by a plantation that cares. Love it! Thanks TeaCuppa Will

This is not one of my favorite oolongs, but it is drinkable! I thought it had a strange heavy taste, but worth trying.

Lynn (10/6/2008)

I really like this tea! Its got a much stronger smell than the actual taste. Its quite smooth and buttery. The smell is fantastic. All in all, I really like this tea. I do with the taste was slightly sweeter like the smell.

Noah (11/6/2008)

My favorite oolong!

shakita (12/21/2008)

Awesome!

Sets a high standard for other teas with its fragrant, smooth milky sweet aftertaste; just what i was looking for but expensive. seng

really excellent oolong as always with a powerful milky, creamy and flowery taste. the best milk oolong I have tasted.

Sergio (9/1/2009)

Very disappointed. Ive had "milk oolong" in Taiwan and this is not the real thing. Some flavoring has obviously been added to create the "milk" taste. The taste and smell is too pronounced to be real and the oolong leaves are not the best quality either.

Daniel (9/15/2009)

Loved it! Definitely need to be in the mood. Tasted very buttery and heavy in a good way. Like I always say, if you dont like the taste of something, just add more butter!

Scott (11/6/2009)

Excellent. I truly enjoy every sip of this tea. Normally I steep the leave 3-4 times. Each steeping gives different results. 1st steeping: light, clear yellow colour. Milky taste and aroma - most pronounced during the first steeping. Sweet aftertaste. 2nd steeping: colour is more intense. Taste is still milky, but with a deeper oolong palate. Milky scent. 3rd steeping: colour does not change from the 2nd steeping. Slight milkiness, deeper yet characteristics of the oolong. Slight milky scent. 4th steeping: the colour is lighter. There is still slight milky scent, but very faint taste. Still tastes good. I will definitely buy this tea again!

I love nai xiang oolong. Nai xiang ( a different one) was my first oolong and I completely fell in love with it. I love Indian sweet and very milky tea. I was trying to find a less calorific substitute when I tried Nai Xiang for the first time. But it is a different experience, very satisfying but in a different way. Ever since I tried that first Nai Xiang, I have been on the look-out for others and not yet found one that matches the first one I tried. This Nai Xiang has a wonderful dry smell. Once brewed, the cremy element is still strong in the aroma, but the oolong did not give as sweet as taste as the first NX I tried. Why is the base oolong never named and detailed explicitly for NX?

I ordered Milk Oolong Tea but recieved just a plain green tea which has no flavor. This is not what I ordered. I am very disappointed and want to return it back.

Irina (7/8/2010)

A very pleasant, soothing aroma. I find this to be a very smooth tasting tea, almost like a dessert.

Jennifer (1/20/2011)

Very disappointed. After waiting 15 days, the tea I received had absolutely no flavor or aroma of milk oolong. It tasted and smelled very floral. Too bad! Unfortunately, this will be my first and last purchase from teacuppa.

Doris (3/26/2011)

I ordered this months ago and it still hasnt come. Im really unimpressed with the shipping and the customer service, as I would really like to try this tea. Ive been waiting to try this tea forever.
