Stevia Sweet Leaf

Stevia Sweet Leaf

(rating: 4 out of 5)

Stevia Sweet Leaf or commonly known as sweetleaf, sweet leaf, sugarleaf, or simply stevia, is widely used as a sweetener and flavor enhancer for centuries. Stevia can be used together to brew tea or coffee. Some people even use stevia sweet leaf for cooking. Stevia has been used in medical research for treating obesity and high blood pressure. Stevia has a negligible effect on blood glucose, even enhancing glucose tolerance; therefore, it is attractive as a natural sweetener to diabetics and others on carbohydrate-controlled diets. Stevia sweet leaf is the safe, all natural alternative to sugar and chemical sweeteners

Very sugary taste. More sugary than sugar itself. It also has a slight herbal flavor to it when you have it plain, but if you add it to tea, the tea flavors would probably mask it. Something like 5 leaves a cup is plenty.

had to do a few trial runs with this as it really is sweet but a much better way to sweeten tea than artificial sweeteners
