Lao Cong Shui Xian Oolong Tea

Lao Cong Shui Xian Oolong Tea

(rating: 4.5 out of 5)

Lao Cong Shui Xian Oolong Tea or also known as Old Bush Shui Xian wu-long. This Old Bush Shui Xian oolong tea is harvested from Shui Xian tea trees which are already over 190 years old. The taste and character of Lao Cong Shui Xian is what stands out with this wu-long tea. There is not bitterness to be found, but only sweetness.

Smooth, complex combined with a particular smoky note and lingering floral finishing.

Traditional looking Oolong tea, with dark and curly tea leaves. Shiny orange liquor.

Wuyi Shan, Fujian Province

Brewing Guide:
We recommend using purple clay or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 2 - 3 grams (approx 1/10 oz) of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for every 225ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 95°c (203°F) for 1-2 minutes for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time for subsequent brewing.

Very nice! It leaves a smooth, silky feeling on the tongue, the likes of which I havent experienced before. Has lots of body (feels thick in the mouth), and has good chocolate flavor. Definitely worth it.

Nice oolong, highly recommend!

I like a darker Oolong, rather than a greener variety. This one is dark and seems to have a caramel taste. I add sugar.

This is a wonderful tea. Great Value! The taste is a bit of a malty-smokey taste, very smooth and just a tad sweet. It went through multiple infusions quite well for me.
