Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Tea

Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Tea

(rating: 4.2 out of 5)

Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Tea or rather known as Huangzhi Xiang Dan Cong is crafted from the leaves of the Dan Cong bushes growing on Phoenix Mountain of Guangdong Province. Typical of Dan Cong teas, it is described as having contradictory body and aftertaste. Dan Cong names ussually represent a flower because of the floral smell it has. Dan Cong Oolong Tea is a tribute tea during the Song Dynasty.

Was not my not cup of tea, I like smoother tea.

Jesse (7/9/2008)

This is a really nice tea. Its just a little bit floral at first but than becomes fruity, good amount of sweetness.

Shane (8/16/2008)

Pretty good oolong. Ive found the trick to be a 1 minute steep time (1st and 2nd infusions) with a good amount of leaves. After 2nd infusion gradually increasing steep time and temp slightly.

Unusual tea for my taste, but overall not bad
