Teacuppa Gourmet Tea Store May 2007 Updates
We are having more new teas arrival this month ranging from green tea to
pu erh tea. This month we would like to highlight Ban Zhang Mountains Pu
Erh and our special order of
Ban Zhang
best grade mao cha tea leaves. Also we will be having new arrival of
new Wuyi Rock Teas hopefully in mid June 2007. We are all excited for
it, the tea is currently being processed and will be ready in early
June.

Ban Zhang Mao Cha tea
leaves are harvested from the famous Ban Zhang mountain. Mao Cha
simply means the dried raw tea leaves used to make pu erh. Ban
Zhang Mao Cha tea leaves looks wonderful and taste wonderful as
well. This Ban Zhang Mao Cha tea leaves are specially selected
from the best tea leaves. Mao Cha usually contains mixed tea
leaves before being pressed into tea cakes. But this Mao Cha
contains only pure pu erh tea leaves. You can see from the
picture that it is very unique with whole tea leaf feature. Pu

Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea
Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea is an oolong tea which is
also known as Bai Hao Oolong or Champagne Formosa. The
name Bai Hao means white tip and refers to the small
tender white buds that are picked along with the top two
leaves. A little history, the origin of this name dates
back to the early 20th century when a British tea
merchant presented a sample of this tea to Queen
Elizabeth II. From there, the Queen named this tea as
Oriental Beauty. Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea has a sweet
smooth taste with a slightly baked and floral aroma.
